SIRS Navigation Ltd can now offer a solution to aviators and restorers requiring replacement magnetic compasses for their Historic Aircraft
The P8 and P11 series compasses, originally fitted to many aircraft including the 'Tiger-Moth', 'Spitfire' and 'Chipmunk' are now being manufactured alongside our other compass ranges.
Two versions of the compass are available in either 'Dark' or 'Light Admiralty Grey'
In addition, you can purchase either the complete compass or just the central compass Cell.
Old P series compasses previously used a radioactive substance 'Radium' to provide the night time illumination. Health and Safety legislation makes it impossible to repair these compasses in our facility. To overcome this problem, SIRS have re-manufactured the same compasses using the original drawings and specifications.
